At Tomás Alva Edison, students bring their full linguistic heritage into the classroom. They move between English, Spanish and French to discuss ideas, solve problems and connect with classmates from different backgrounds.
In every lesson, they use multiple languages to research, present and reflect, growing into confident, globally minded communicators. As they progress through the school, they can also step into German and Mandarin, opening new cultures, opportunities and connections in an ever-smaller world.
Build trilingual fluency from Early Years to High School in English and French alongside Spanish, following a continuous programme that supports linguistic and cultural immersion throughout the school journey.
Guide steady progress with ongoing assessment and personalised strategies, enabling solid, gradual advancement that reflects individual strengths and specific linguistic needs.
Earn official certifications in English with Cambridge exams and in French with DELF, reaching C2 in both languages and building confidence for future study and global opportunities.
Join a multilingual community with 23 nationalities and 12 languages, where daily life in an international environment encourages language use, respect for other cultures and a shared global outlook.
Strengthen language learning through educational platforms, digital resources and interactive tools including Progrentis, Achieve 3000, GetEpic, Kognity and Nouvelle Generation, in a flexible, dynamic way tailored to pace and interests.
Alongside mastering English, children deepen their love and confidence in Spanish as their mother tongue and begin learning French. They can also take their first steps in German and Chinese, opening the door to new cultures, friendships and ways of seeing the world.
Early Years
In Early Years, children pick up English and Spanish through play, songs and daily routines, building early links between both languages without formal lessons. French joins their day from Kinder 1.
Primary School
In Primary School, students use Spanish, English and French in hands-on projects, presentations and everyday class work. From this stage, they can begin official certifications in English and French and add Mandarin Chinese as an extracurricular subject.
Middle School
In Middle School, students use English, Spanish and French to explore content, grow vocabulary and express more complex ideas. They can sit Cambridge English and DELF French exams and may add German and Mandarin to their language choices.
High School
In High School, students bring English, French, German, Mandarin and Spanish into higher-level enquiry, research and discussion. They aim for advanced Cambridge English and DELF French exams and continue to build confidence in German and Mandarin.
Students move through a rich mix of language experiences, building the skills and resilience they need to thrive.
When students join us, they complete an initial language assessment and a language-profile questionnaire, so teachers understand their full linguistic story from day one. This informs clear, personalised goals. Students work towards at least a B2 level in English, building the academic language they need to meet higher education standards with confidence.
Through the ILOS programme at International Schools Partnership, students step into real conversations: cultural exchanges, debates and creative film projects. These safe, exciting rehearsal spaces let them experiment, make mistakes and grow their language skills in authentic global contexts.
Parents stay closely involved in their child’s language journey. They access clear guides, webinars and practical language tips to reinforce learning at home, along with everyday tools that make supporting multilingual development simple and manageable for the whole family.
