Students at TAE High School take their final step in essential education and their first step toward a professional future. They work collaboratively, solve complex problems and carry out research in both the library and the lab, creating innovative projects that mirror the demands of university and working life. Students aged 15 to 19 can choose either the nationally recognized UNAM Bachillerato or the internationally prestigious IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).

Students at Escuela Tomás Alva Edison know they want to follow different professional paths. They choose from a wide range of subjects and study plans tailored to their interests and needs, building the preparation they need for the future.
Students who choose the Engineering pathway build a strong foundation in advanced mathematics, studying Algebra, Geometry, Calculus and Statistics. They approach Physics in an applied way through hands-on projects that develop their critical thinking, problem‑solving and creativity to design innovative solutions.
Students in the Medicine and Chemistry pathway prepare for a future in health sciences. They start with Chemistry and Biology and then move into subjects such as Morphophysiology and Health Sciences. They connect theory and practice through lab work and applied research, gaining strong academic preparation and real-world experience for careers in medicine, research or biological sciences.
Students in this pathway develop analytical thinking, social awareness and leadership. They study disciplines such as Geography and History, both national and global, and in their final year go deeper into subjects such as Law, Business Administration and Political Science. They learn to understand civic and economic life and to contribute meaningfully to their communities.
Students in the Humanities and Arts pathway are creative and reflective learners. They take Visual Arts or Music alongside Literature, Philosophy and Graphic Expression. Throughout High School, they strengthen their cultural awareness, analytical skills and personal identity, developing an integrated and artistic way of thinking.

Students’ academic success depends on clearly understanding the knowledge and skills they need at every stage of their learning journey. Here, they benefit from a well‑structured curriculum, a research‑informed approach to teaching and learning, and effective assessment tools, all designed to deepen understanding and ensure steady progress.
Through assemblies, daily activities and the wider curriculum, students cultivate essential life skills. This approach strengthens their communication, teamwork and problem‑solving, preparing them to succeed in every aspect of their lives.
In High School, students refine Spanish, English and French in class and extend German or Chinese after school. With focused preparation, 70% reach B2 or above in Cambridge English and 30% do so in DELF, ready for global study and work.
Learning extends far beyond the classroom with exciting educational trips, from local day excursions to international language‑immersion experiences that help students discover new places and cultures. TAE students also take part in ISP International Learning Opportunities for Students (ILOS) such as UNAM Megaofrenda, joining global collaborations that widen their perspectives and ignite their passions. These programmes help them build the confidence, adaptability and global mindset they need to thrive in an increasingly connected world.
In High School, students lead their university journey with 1:1 guidance for applications in Mexico and abroad. 98% enter their first-choice university and over 70% join Tier 1 institutions. In 2025, 66% earned merit scholarships averaging 40%, as students build the confidence, resilience and independence to thrive at university.
