Trilingual Early Years at Escuela Tomás Alva Edison

Nursery and Kinder 1
In Nursery and Kinder 1 at TAE, children grow and learn in a safe, caring environment full of discovery. Students explore the world around them, build relationships with others and learn through play, step by step.
In these Early Years, children develop across seven key areas:

- Personal, Social and Emotional Development

Kínder 2
In our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), children learn and grow through play, exploration and meaningful experiences in a warm, secure environment. Students start building strong language, social, emotional and early academic skills from the very beginning.
Kinder 2 focus areas
In Kinder 2, children develop these foundations across four key areas:
- English (Jolly English) - children sing, play and talk in English as they grow their confidence.
- Phonics - students listen to sounds, practise letter–sound links and take their first steps into reading.
- Spanish - children share stories, new words and simple sentences in their mother tongue.
- Mathematics - students count, sort, compare and play with numbers to make sense of everyday maths.
Kínder 3 and First English
From Kinder 3 and First English onwards, students take their first steps into the Cambridge Pathway, which then continues into Primary. In these early Cambridge years, students start thinking more independently, solving problems and strengthening their love of learning, laying solid foundations for future study and connecting their everyday classwork to global education standards.

After School
At TAE, children use extracurricular activities to explore their interests, build new skills and form lasting friendships. Each afternoon, they step into spaces where they move, experiment and think in new ways:
- Children create and move in Art, Sports, Dance and Theatre, strengthening gross motor skills and creativity through dynamic, expressive activities.
- Students solve and strategise in Robotics and Chess, sharpening problem-solving, critical thinking and strategic planning through engaging, step-up challenges.
- Children investigate and experiment in Science, nurturing their curiosity with hands-on experiments that bring scientific concepts to life.
