Important Communication, September, Weekly Newsletters

Thank you for trusting us

Thank you once again for your support this week. The children are continuing to learn at school and at home, and more and more are coming to the school site every day. Our number one priority has always been the health, safety and wellbeing of your children, and we are proud that our safety protocols are working so effectively. I would also like to thank our operations and security staff who worked so efficiently to check all four of our sites so quickly and efficiently following the events of Tuesday evening. Thank you for the trust you showed in us on Wednesday morning and on subsequent days as your children returned to school. We are proud to be gaining your trust and confidence, and we truly are a great team: parents and school working together in the interests of your children.

Training for Teachers

As you know, we have bought the latest technology in order for the students at home to learn at the same time as those in the classroom. I am sure you will agree that the teachers are working incredibly hard and we thank you for your patience as they become accustomed to the new system. It is so important that the students at home are learning as effectively as those in school. In order to enhance the online learning experience, over the next few weeks, the teachers will be receiving up to date training regarding the latest online learning platforms. We want to challenge ourselves to be the best we can possibly be.

Message for Middle School Parents (and Survey): International Baccalaureate Diploma

We want this school and its educational provision to be the best on offer. For this reason, we would like to ask Middle School parents their thoughts about their children’s educational curriculum before they move into the High School at TAE. Our plans are to offer the International Baccalaureate Diploma within the next two years. This is a world class diploma that prepares students for the rigours of twenty first century life. It develops critical and creative thinking as well as the interpersonal skills that all our young people need to succeed at university and beyond. Parents’ Association
There has been great interest in the new parents associations. If you are interested but have not yet applied, please let the directoras of each section know by the beginning of next week.

TAE Achieve
Our excellent after school program, TAE Achieve begins next week (Monday 13th September). Nearly four hundred students have already booked their places. If you have not already done so, please sign up today to avoid disappointment.

“We are delighted to be opening a rich and diverse range of activities due to such great demand for our TAE Achieve After-School Program. This is an amazing opportunity for your children to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and academic skills within a safe and supportive environment. We look forward to welcoming each and every student on Monday whether they are attending face-to-face or online.” – Emma Wakelin, Deputy School Director.

Further information will be shared with you soon about dedicated contact numbers for our TAE Achieve After-School Program in each school section.

Rewards
Our children in the Preschool and Primary schools are working so hard and we would like to recognise their efforts. Starting in two weeks’ time, we shall award a “Star of the Week” in each classroom, to recognise the efforts of children online and at home. We expect that a different child will win the award each week and that everyone will win the award at least once this year.

Customer Service
We have been able to solve several concerns from parents regarding payments, uniforms, technology and other issues this week. If you are worried about anything, please let me know. We are here to help.

Independence Day
Remember that we are not in school on Thursday 16th September or Friday 17th September. Have a wonderful “Independence Day” weekend with your families.
