TAEMUN 2020

For the past 17 years, our institution has had a Model of United Nations (MUN), a simulation of the debates that are held in the international organization of the United Nations. In TAEMUN, students from elementary through high school and college worked as delegates of a country, defended their official position in the different committees that revolved around the Sustainable Development Goals 20- 30.

The development of these debates took place from February 6th-8th this year, where 18 educational institutions in Mexico City participated, along with our elementary, middle, and high school. In total, we had over 335 delegates. In the Opening Ceremony, Sandra Camacho, TAE alumni and former munner, participated. As a student, she was part of our first Model of United Nations. She currently is a Senior Advisor at the Private Sector Alliance for Disaster Resilient Societies (ARISE) for the UN’s Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNDRR). In the Closing Ceremony, Cinthia Isabel Flores, Puebla’s State Prize and National Youth Prize in 2017 in the Environment Protection by the Federal Government. Thanks to the collaboration and support of TAE’s community, the event was successful.
